Nominations for 2010 AANP election now open

The Call for Nominations for 2010 AANP election is now open. The deadline for nominations to be received by AANP is January 8, 2010. Positions up for election this year are Recording Secretary, Regional Directors for Regions 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10, and State Representatives for Alabama, Arizona, California (N), California (S), Caribbean U. S. Territory, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pacific U. S. Territory, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. There are also two positions open for Nominations Committee. The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners has an opening for Director of Health Policy/State Government Affairs. This position directs, develops, and implements AANP's state legislative and regulatory affairs program; investigates and analyzes state laws and proposed initiatives; and coordinates advocacy on a wide range of health topics at the state level.
